From Athwa, Surat Chess Club is about eleven minutes away through Piplod. Our classroom is on the first floor of Canal Walkk Shoppers on VIP Road, opposite L.P. Savani School, where founder and head coach Rushi Shah has taught offline chess classes since 2016.
Getting to the club from Athwa
From Athwa, drive south through Piplod on Piplod Main Road towards Vesu and VIP Road. Canal Walkk Shoppers is directly opposite L.P. Savani School; the club is on the first floor. Vesu Canal Road is the alternative route at a similar time. Google Maps puts the trip at 4.9 km, about 11 minutes by car via Piplod Main Road in normal traffic. Parking is available outside.
Families from this side of Surat usually choose a weekday evening batch (Tuesday to Friday, 4:00–8:00 PM) or a weekend morning. Working adults from Athwa can join the adults-only batch, Tuesday to Saturday 7:00–8:00 PM.
